To remind men to love and take care of themselves, I made this paper-mache planter. From the skin color and the face structure, you could assume the character is Asian. In Mongolia, where I came from, many men suffer from toxic masculinity - take most of the family and financial burden. Therefore, to demonstrate those people, I made the character wrinkly, muscular, with huge cheekbones, and a collar of Mongolian traditional costume as a saucer.
As of used materials, I made paper mache clay by mixing recycled paper with white glue, drywall joint compound, and some white flour, used plastic and aluminum litters to build the armature, and painted the planter with gouache.
